First Facility-wide Sereneview Installation

Leadership saw the curtains at the ANCC Magnet Conference in 2014 and took us up on a trial curtain offer. That led to an order for the Digestive Health clinic and a whole new vibe in the clinic that quickly spread to Admissions, Recovery, and ICU.
Recognizing the positive impact the curtains had on everyone, leadership made the bold move to take Sereneview curtains and overheads facility-wide.
Sereneview curtains are in Emergency, Women’s Services, IV Infusion, Dialysis Lab, Behavioral Health, and all remodeled units. In addition, scenic overhead tiles are in Radiology, and window tints on the glass doors and partitions in AM Admit, CDU, and Women’s Services Maternity.
In addition to making everyone happier, the curtains don’t require as much maintenance and protect the patients and staff from the spread of HAI’s. The annual savings from laundering alone is $40,000. In addition, the yearly labor savings is 2,000 person-hours and the reduced falling liability from a ladder by staff.
