Hospital staff notices how amazed patients and families are to see a beautiful Sereneview curtain envelop them as they are going through a health crisis. After all, that is what all healthcare providers should be: an oasis of peace in the pain.
Charles A. Cannon Memorial Hospital in Linville, NC began their transition from a typical small rural hospital to a “patient-centered care” facility by becoming a Planetree affiliate in 2002.
Sallie Woodring, Cannon Hospital’s Director of Support Services/Hospitality says that Sereneview curtains in the CCU, ED, Transfusion Room and CT Scan room have made an impact on everyone.
“Hospital staff is always commenting on how amazed patients and families are to see that beautiful Sereneview curtain envelop them as they are going through a health crisis. After all, that is what all healthcare providers should be: an oasis of peace in the pain.
“We started with four Sereneview curtains for our CCU and ED. The response from staff, patients and volunteers was so positive, that we just had to get enough curtains to complete the ED. Then we needed a curtain for the transfusion room and for the CT Scan room.
“Our journey with Sereneview started when I saw your curtains on display at the 2003 Planetree Conference. I fell in love, and knew we had to get your product for Cannon Hospital. Our volunteer organization was just starting to make money through fund raising and they were truly Planetree champions – so I was able to make a pitch they could not refuse. We have all seen the great results, ever since.
